Foss Family Photo Session
•December 8, 2009 • Leave a CommentMore random photos from my arsenal…
•December 7, 2009 • Leave a CommentI have been extremely busy and have not put up any recent photo sessions… I have two family sessions and one of my fiance to post still this week. I do have a engagement session this weekend as well, weather permitting, which I’m very excited about.
These photos I’ve posted are from a trip down to Pella Iowa that I took earlier this year during their Tulip Time Festival. The first photo is of lamp post right outside of one of the windmills. The second photo is of a gate… I like both these pictures because of their abstract qualities… you can’t really tell what they are. I do love the colors though of the lamp post.
Katie and Ed’s Engagement!
•November 23, 2009 • 2 CommentsI have finally edited and put together photos for Katie and Ed you’ll see below. They were a very fun couple to photograph and even they had a fun time sitting and posing for me. I love that park. These photos were taken at Greenwoods Park again behind the Arts Center in Des Moines. Great colors again for this shoot, which made for some awesome black and whites too! Enjoy!
Random Photos I like
•November 11, 2009 • 2 CommentsThis first one might not be the best photo but I took it at one of my favorite places in Minnesota- Lanesboro on one of the biking trails. It was taken with just my Olympus point and shoot-
One day I got bored and decided to go down to Pella, Iowa to shoot some pics by the center courtyard in their downtown… they have obviously very pretty tulips out there, but I also really liked the forms and structures I found in the old WWII utility pieces there… this one is a wheel from a cannon…

Jill and Matt Engagement
•November 9, 2009 • 1 CommentJill and Matt were awesome and let me take their engagement photos here in downtown Des Moines a few weeks ago. I finally got everything organized and edited so here they are below. Jill has to be one of the most photogenic people to take pictures of… Enjoy!

Old Spain Photos
•October 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentThis is one of my favorite pictures I have, just based on composition, but it was very hard to bring out the colors in this and edit it well. This photo was done on film and then scanned in and then worked. It was a very dark photo and I had to do a lot on it. But I just love the objects in the picture. This photo was taken at a market in Alicante, Spain.
Here is another photo from Spain, that was taken at a castle. I took it with a cheap Olympus digital point and shoot, but it was a good shot! I was able to catch the droplets of water as they fell in front of the camera.
More photos!
•October 28, 2009 • Leave a CommentI was not able to get all the photos imputed and edited as I had hoped last night for one of my friend’s who let me take her engagement photos. I’m hoping to get two of engagement photos from two different couples up this weekend.
But, here are some of my favorite, more recent photos of downtown Des Moines that I took this past spring. This is the court avenue area, the courthouse, and surrounding warehouse structures that have just gorgeous colors.

Hello world!
•October 27, 2009 • 1 CommentYes, hello world! this is the first blog of mine and it will be all dedicated to photography and those who let me create my images. Please view! Feel free to leave comments, applause and constructive criticism. I appreciate all feedback!
I have the first of some of my pictures here. I will have done 3 photo shoots by the end of the week. This first posting are pics from a family portrait session at Greenwoods park in Des Moines. Their little girl, Faith is absolutely beautiful and I think had wonderful poses and expressions.
The family is running through the trellises by the lake at Greenwoods park. Faith was laughing and having a great time! the colors were awesome this day and I was able to capture a lot of candid shots of this family as they walked and played through the park.
How adorable are her little feet with shoes?! I love her pouty face in this pics as well, but it was cold and wet out there, so I don’t blame her.
